HAPPY HOLI!!!
ALSO, HAPPY WOMEN’S DAY!!!!
ALSO, ALL OTHER THINGS WHICH ARE NOT WOMEN, OR DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT HOLI IS, HAPPY THURSDAY!! (only ONE MORE DAY TILL THE WEEKEND!! WOOOOOOOOOO!!)
So, I really wanted popcorn today.. and there was a couple of DELICIOUS packets of microwaveable popcorn lying around the house.. so I enter the kitchen all excited about popcorn, grab me a packet and turn to the microwave, only to be faced with this picture.
DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM?!?! (this is where i sing to the microwave, in tune of Craig David’s “what’s yo’ flava” – WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM. TELL ME WHAT’s YOUR PROBLEM?!?!)
Luckily there was a stove right next to it, and after a bit of hunting, I tore open the packet and made the damn popcorn on the stove. 😀
It just got me thinking.. Life is continuously trying to piss you off. It’s just an annoying practical joker waiting to pull a fast one on you when you least expect it. You could either get really mad and break things (for example the scenario which played out in head twwo seconds after i realized there was no way the plug was going to reach the socket, i.e. me losing it, Grabbing the microwave from off the stand and FLINGING IT TO THE FLOOR while savagely screaming “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!”- which to be honest would have been a pretty funny sight) or you could just find an alternative. And the amazing thing is. there will ALWAYS be alternatives. IF there aren’t any, (like the stove not having gas or me not having lighter), it’s probably the universe’ way of telling me it’s probably best if i didn’t have popcorn.
IN CONCLUSION what I am trying to say is. Life will always try and piss you off. My suggestion is, confuse the crap out of it by laughing at it’s attempt to do so. It’s so much more fun that way.
