THIS IS A LIE.
IT’s REALLY YUMMY. But it is a LIE.
A DELICIOUS LIE.
I saw this post on pinterest the other day and it (like many other posts on pinterest) looked so simple and beautiful, I really wanted to try it out. I MEAN LOOK AT IT.
I went and bought all the ingredients… Took a couple of artsy pictures in an effort to make my experience of cooking/baking a blog post… Like so…

And then I got to work. Everything was JUST FINE. I was whisking stuff.. popping a couple of chocolate chips in my mouth every now and then..got a maaaaaassive Sugar high which prompted me to post GEMS like
“ GUYSGUYSGUYSGUYS WHEN MAKING OR ATTEMPTING TO MAKE CHOCOLATE BROWNIES DON’T EAT LIKE ALL THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS BECAUSE THEN YOU WILL BE IN TROUBLE.
SORRY I AM SHOUTING.
… ON the Facebook Funkanatomy page…. er… yeah.
So… WHY IS IT A LIE? BECAUSE THE DOUGH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DRY-ISH… But it was fully… like… Liquid-y… So I ABORTED initial plan of baking cookies and decided to make BROWNIE/CAKE/WHATEVER you want to call batter cooked in dish .
I also tried to bake it using the CONVECTION microwave – that also failed. Because it kind of burnt the top, vaaaaaaaaguely cooked the bottom, and Crispified the sides. Failure in kitchen? Possibly… Waste of chocolate.. ? I THINK NOT!

Moral: When life flips you the bird and makes you question WHY OTHER PEOPLE CAN MAKE PRETTY BEAUTIFUL CHEWY COOKIES and YOU CAN’T... Maybe you’re not MEANT to make pretty cookies. Maybe you’re meant to make.. THE SEXIEST GOOEY BROWNIE IN THE WORLD!
Some failures are delicious.
For Recipe: Follow what is given in the blog – and then FAIL. Use cornflour instead of corn syrup.. http://www.divine-baking.com/2011/04/deep-dark-chocolate-cookies.html
